2009-10 Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Program

Latest News!

Updated November 20, 2009

Seasonal Influenza Vaccine Availability

Due to production of H1N1 influenza vaccine, there is a delay in production of seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine. This has resulted in shortages in the community, including locations such as local pharmacies, community clinics, physician offices, urgent care centers and other private health care providers.

We encourage the public - particularly those at greatest risk of medical complications and/or transmitting influenza to others - to obtain both seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccinations this year – as they become available - to increase their protection against influenza and its potential complications.

As seasonal vaccine supplies return to normal levels later this fall, finding a seasonal influenza vaccination clinic may be done through the American Lung Association's Flu Clinic Locator Web site.

Note: The Flu Clinic Locator is currently listing 405 W. 5th Street in Santa Ana and a location for both Season Flu and H1N1 vaccine. This is not the case. Flu vaccine is NOT available at this address.

Please note: This page offers information about seasonal flu only.
For information about H1N1, click here.

Public Health “17th Street Clinic” Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinic Postponed
Due to delays in receipt of seasonal flu vaccine, seasonal influenza vaccinations are not yet available at the Health Care Agency’s 17 Street Clinic. We do not anticipate sufficient levels of vaccine until mid-December, so please check this site periodically for updates.

Once adequate vaccine supplies have arrived from the State, a calendar of additional community opportunities will be posted on this site. Check back frequently for updated information.

The Seasonal influenza vaccine is available, free of charge, to the following groups.
