CYS/QRT Training Program
Quality review and training activities within CYS are provided by a
staff of clinicians and support personnel whose task it is to assure
the quality of services provided by CYS through training in
documentation and billing, through chart review and monitoring of
compliance with Medi-Cal regulations and/or Chapter 26.5/AB 3632
Regulations, and through provision of in-service training on
clinical topics suggested by the results of quality improvement
activities, administrative priorities, and needs assessments. Brief
courses, presentations, workshops and consultation are provided on
topics ranging from non-violent crisis intervention and
record-keeping to short-term therapy and neuropsychological
assessment. Some of the training is provided by the training staff
of the QRT program. Other training is provided by expert speakers
and trainers from outside CYS. The QRT training program is the HCA
provider for American Psychological Association Continuing Education
Credits for Psychologists and for the California Board of Behavioral
Sciences Continuing Education Credits for MFTs and LCSWs. CE Credits
for MDs are provided for CYS/QRT training activities through the
Health Care Agency's Continuing Medical Education Committee, whose
administrative functions are housed in CYS/QRT.
