Unfortunately, motor vehicle crashes are the leading
cause of unintentional injury-related deaths for children 14 and under.
Many of the Orange County Community partners are
combining resources to promote the importance of educating parents on how
to properly restrain their children by hosting a "car seat inspection" on
Monday May, 15, 2006.
The car seat inspections will be sponsored by Orange
County SAFE KIDS.
Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians
will be on hand to inspect car seats and provide training to parents.
The event will be held in the parking lot at Angels
Stadium of Anaheim, adjacent to the Big A
and will start at 10:00 a.m.

There is no fee for this service however appointments
are required for each car seat to be inspected.
The goal of this event is to provide educational tips
and hands on instructions to parents on how to properly restrain their
children in a motor vehicle.
