provide community input on HCA programs an policies. All
meetings of these boards are public. Members of boards are
comprised of private and professional persons in the community.

Alcohol and Drug Advisory
Board
Advises and reports on policies and goals of county alcohol
and drug programs.
Date: Third Friday

Animal Care Community Outreach Committee
Supports Animal Care Services in achieving the vision and
goals of the organization and fosters community input and
support in animal care related issues.
Date: First month of each Quarter (January, April, July
and October) on the fourth Wednesday.

Children's Services
Coordination Committee
Advises on programs and issues concerning the service delivery
system for wards (Probation), dependents (Social Services),

children and their families.

HIV
Planning Council
Advises and makes recommendations on HIV policy issues and on

Multi-Ethnic Behavioral Health Services Task Force
To advocate for the development, implementation and evaluation of high
quality, culturally competent, behavioral health
services (Mental Health Services and Alcohol and
Drug Abuse Services) capable of meeting the dynamic and diverse needs of all ethnic
groups in Orange County.

Solid Waste Local Enforcement Agency
The Solid Waste Hearing Panel
is to adjudicate solid waste management actions taken by the
