Child Welfare Services Redesign Planning Council - implements statewide and local efforts to improve CWS service systems and delivery with emphasis on prevention, diversion, early intervention, alternate response, and improved permanency options, increased accountability for CWS systems, and stakeholder and community involvement.
Perinatal Substance Abuse Subcommittee - initiates and supports a new prevalence study to provide valuable information to guide service delivery efforts and to discuss standard of care issues related to substance abuse for pregnant women.
The following subcommittee is no longer active:
Children’s Domestic Violence Subcommittee - oversee completion of tasks outlined in the Safe and Bright Futures for Children Initiative. This initiative, funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, seeks to diminish the damaging effects of domestic violence on children and adolescents in Orange County, and to stop the cycles of abuse and intentional injury.
