HCA Health Educators

The Health Educator, Health Education Associate and Health Education Assistant are part of a team that is responsible for carrying out public health education programs. While the educator may take the lead in developing the plans that are necessary for the achievement of health education goals and objectives, the associate and assistant work in conjunction with the educator to implement the interventions and evaluate the outcomes.

Salary: $40,752 - $54,744 annually

Environmental Health Specialist

Environmental Health Specialists are responsible for all inspection work and public educational activities within an assigned geographical area. Some positions may be assigned County-wide inspectional duties in more narrow and specific functions such as water quality control.

Salary: $44,100 - $62,748 annually

Epidemiologists

Epidemiologists plan, organize, and conduct assigned epidemiological investigations, field studies and surveillance to determine the patterns of disease in the community; coordinate these activities with other health services to make recommendations regarding the possible causation of diseases and disease processes, their correlation with other community conditions, and the control of epidemics and eradication of disease; and to do other work as required.

Salary: $46,548 to $62,748 annually

Physical Therapists

Physical Therapists, work with children with physical disabilities under the direction of a Supervising Therapist. Physical Therapists independently evaluate and implement treatment programs as requested by a physician. Physical Therapist I, is an entry level class for licensed therapists who lack specialized experience performing physical therapy for children with physical disabilities. Physical Therapist II, is an experienced class for licensed therapists who have specialized experience performing therapy with children.

Salary: $61,044 - $67,932 annually

Public Health Nurse

Public Health Nurses provide professional nursing care and public health services, including instruction and counseling, to individuals and families in a variety of settings including homes, clinics, special program sites, acute facilities and schools; and to perform other work as required.

Salary: $53,160 - $67,932 annually
