Information Offered On Vitamin and Herbal Products

(Santa Ana) - A free community education program scheduled for Thursday, January 11 from 10:30 a.m.-12 Noon at the Michael E. Rogers Senior Center in Huntington Beach aims to take some of the confusion out of buying vitamins and herbal products.

The program offered by registered pharmacist Daniel Ketchum is presented by the Orange County Health Care Agency Older Adult Services, Preventive Health Care for the Aging and the Westminster Senior Center. Topics will include a discussion of vitamins needed by older adults, how to buy quality vitamin products, and possible interactions between prescription medicines and vitamin or herbal products. The presentation will also include information on the helpfulness of commonly available herbal products.
