(Santa Ana) - The Orange County Health Care Agency (HCA) and Latino Health Access will join to provide information on health care access and on diabetes at a special event to be held Monday, January 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Santa Ana High School, 520 W. Walnut Street. HCA representatives will provide information on the Healthy Families program, which provides health care coverage to uninsured children with family incomes above limits for no-cost Medi-Cal and below 250 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. The income limit for Healthy Families program eligibility is currently $35,376 for a family of three. Application assistants will be present to assist parents in the completion of applications to enroll their children in the Healthy Families program. Staff members from Latino Health Access will share information about diabetes and provide free diabetes screening to all interested individuals. All information will be offered in both English and Spanish. This health information program is offered in cooperation with the Santa Ana High School Parents-Teachers-Students Association and is open to the entire community.
