(Midway City) - Orange County senior citizens will have a convenient opportunity to consult with a pharmacist and a nurse about their current medications at a "Brown Bag Day" event Tuesday, January 30 at the Midway City Community Center, 14900 Park Lane, Midway City.

The free 30-minute consultations will be offered by appointment between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on January 30. To schedule an appointment, please call the Midway City Community Center at (714) 898-0203. Participants should bring all of their prescription medications, over the counter drugs, herbal products and vitamins. A pharmacist and nurse will answer questions about possible side effects as well as the best way to take medications to maximize their effectiveness. Participants will also be asked to fill out a brief medical history form before their consultation.

The "Brown Bag Day" event is sponsored by the Midway City Community Center, County of Orange Health Care Agency Older Adult Services and Preventive Health Care for the Aging (PHCA).
