(Orange) – In observance of the American Humane Association ‘s “Be Kind To Animals Week,” Orange County Animal Care Services (ACS) will host an annual Pet Faire on Saturday, June 1st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Animal Care Center located at 561 The City Drive South in Orange. The Pet Faire is one of ACS’s biggest annual attractions, with more than 7,000 people visiting the Animal Care Center last year. In addition to pet adoptions, many pet vendors will be on-hand to display the latest in pet care products along with wildlife exhibitors and breed rescue groups. “Last year’s Pet Faire was a huge success with the placement of 92 dogs, cats, rabbits and other furry friends with new families,” said Dr. Julie Ryan, ACS Director. “This year, Pet Faire organizers hope to break last years record in pet adoptions and visitor attendance.” The Pet Faire is a free event open to all members of the community and will provide an opportunity to learn more about animals of all types, including the companion animals available for adoption at ACS. The Orange County Animal Care Center offers numerous services to assist animals and people alike: rescuing injured or lost animals, returning lost pets safely to their homes and adopting animals into new, loving families. For more information about the Pet Faire or the Orange County Animal Care Center, call (714) 935-6301 or visit the ACS Web site at www.ocpetinfo.com.
