(Orange) – Free health screenings and health information will be featured at the El Modena Family Resource Center Health Fair and Flu Shot Clinic, to be held Thursday, November 21 from 9 a.m.-12 Noon at the Center, 18672 E. Center Street, Orange.

Flu shots will be provided to those 60 years of age and older, as well as those who are at high-risk of influenza related complications due to chronic diseases. Health screenings offered will include mammograms for women age 40 and older, height and weight checks, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings and osteoporosis screening. Health fair participants will have the opportunity to meet with a pharmacist and a nutritionist, while nurses will offer health assessments.

The Orange County Health Care Agency (HCA) and the El Modena Family Resource Center are sponsors of the Health Fair. Several HCA programs will be represented, including Preventive Health Care for the Aging, the Senior Health Outreach and Prevention Program and Older Adult Services. Other participating organizations include CalOptima, Pacific Coast Mobile, Western Medical Center and the County Islands Program. Health Fair participants will be able to register for gift baskets to be given away hourly.
