Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention — Walk 2 School Day
Walk to School is a fun, educational event
involving children, parents, and community leaders. If you are
interested in raising awareness about:

Reinforcing children’s
good traffic safety skills

Creating and maintaining safe places
for children to walk and bike within their neighborhood

Promoting
the fact that children need regular physical activity to stay
strong and healthy
Consider becoming a coordinator for your
school. Principals, teachers, parents…anyone can become a
coordinator. Get your school principal’s permission to
coordinate your event and register to receive a free toolkit.

You can register online! Remember you must
have your school principal’s consent before organizing the
event. If you need help, please download a copy of our “letter
to the principal” to get you started. The first 50 schools to
register will receive additional incentive materials.
