can I get a free breast exam and a mammogram?
The Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts (CDP: EWC)
provides free breast and cervical cancer screening and
diagnostic procedures, including clinical breast exams,
mammograms, and Pap tests to women who meet the following
criteria:

Medically uninsured and
underinsured

Age 40 and older for
clinical breast exams and mammograms (breast cancer
screening)

Age 25 and older for Pap
tests (cervical cancer screening)

At or below 200% of
federal poverty level

Yes, you may qualify for CDP: EWC services if you have Medi-Cal
coverage with an unmet share-of-cost.

What
happens if I am diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer?
The program works with the California Breast and Cervical
Cancer Treatment Program (BCCTP) to provide referrals for
treatment. California residents diagnosed with primary
breast cancer, who are 18 years of age and older, at or
below 200 percent of the federal poverty level, with no
identifiable source of coverage for breast cancer treatment
