The PSASI Assessment and
Coordination Team (ACT) is a team of public health nurses providing
intensive intervention services to substance abusing women and their
families during their pregnancy through 6 months post partum:

to ensure appropriate
prenatal care

to optimize pregnancy
outcome

to support participation
in drug and alcohol treatment programs
ACT Public Health Nurses
provide these services:

Home and Provider site
visits

Health Assessments

Prenatal Teaching

Appointments/referrals
for prenatal care

Access to family
planning services

Referral to drug and
alcohol treatment programs

Resource and referral
for socio/economic and transportation needs

Support compliance with
medical care and drug/alcohol treatment

Case coordination with
involved programs and providers
PSASI/ACT also provides FREE training support to
