The Environmental Health Division receives
requests for complaint investigations on a daily basis. We
respond promptly and thoroughly to citizen complaints regarding
health and safety issues under our jurisdiction. If you call
regarding an issue that is not under our authority, it is our
policy to help you reach the correct agency by making referrals.

Consumer Complaints-Investigation Requests
In order to help us better serve you, please be ready to
provide the following information when you request an
investigation:
WHO:
Your name, address and telephone number. This
information is kept confidential, but it is important for
our Specialists to have the ability to contact you for
additional information related to the investigation.
WHAT:
Please describe the condition(s) that you observed
that prompted your call (i.e., spoiled food, unsafe public
swimming pool, leaking roof in rental housing, improper
disposal of hazardous waste, etc.)
WHERE:
The responsible party's name, address and telephone
number (if
available), and the location of the health and safety
problem (i.e.,
address, unit number when available). When applicable,
please include the name of the business.
