About Us
Safe Healthcare Project
What
is the Safe Healthcare Project?
The Safe Healthcare Project is a public health education campaign
to increase community knowledge of the availability of safe
and legitimate healthcare services, and the dangers of receiving
healthcare and prescription medication from unlicensed providers.
History
In response to the recent deaths of two infants who received
illegal prescription medicines and fraudulent medical care,
the Orange County Health Care Agency developed the Safe Healthcare
Project under the direction of the County Board of Supervisors
and in collaboration with the Safe Healthcare Coalition.
