Safe Healthcare Project
The
Safe Healthcare Project is a public health education campaign
to increase community knowledge of the availability of safe
and legitimate healthcare services, and the dangers of receiving
healthcare and prescription medication from unlicensed providers.
Activities
in this program include:
-
Educational
Materials
As part of the health education campaign, educational posters
and flyers were created in various languages (English, Spanish,
Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodian). Included on the
posters and flyers is the Health Care Agency health referral
telephone line. Additionally, a health resource list is
located on the back of the program flyers. Presently, the
Safe Healthcare Project is soliciting community programs
to help distribute these posters and flyers.
-
Health
Resource List
The Orange County health resource list -- conveniently featured
on the back of the program flyers --- is a compilation of
local community clinics, public health clinics and medical
centers where you can find low-cost services for children
and adults. Many clinics offer services ranging from pediatric,
adult, women's health, mental health, and dental, or other
urgent care. A select few are open late week nights and
Saturdays. Please call the clinics for further information.
-
Presentations
& Trainings

others to share and integrate the safe healthcare message
into their current outreach activities. If you are a community
agency or group that is interested in promoting the safe
healthcare message to your community and outreach program,
please call (714) 796-8295 or use the order form to request
