Electronic Plan Submittal - Pool

EPSP POOL

Our Electronic Plan Submittal (EPS) process allows online submissions of plans for food and pool facilities through Microsoft Box. We accept EPS for most remodel and new construction projects of pool facilities. Regarding EPS for food facilities, please visit our food facility ESP page here.

Plans submitted through EPS will take the same amount of time to be reviewed as plans submitted in person. Initial pool facility plans submitted through EPS are intended to be reviewed within 30 business days from the day your plan check fee payment is received. However, this may vary based on the volume of submittals being reviewed by our Plan Check team.

If revisions are needed, they will be reviewed in the order they are received and can take up to 8 weeks to be completed. We currently do not offer expedited services.

Steps for Electronic Plan Submittal (ESP)

  1. Download our Electronic Plan Submittal Package (EPSP) to start the EPS process.

The EPSP includes a Service Request Form, an overview of plan check fees, and a checklist of criteria to be included in your plans for your pool facility.

2.    Follow the guidelines outlined in our EPS/Box instructions which is also included in the EPSP.

Once the payment for the plan check fee is received and processed, your plans and supporting documents will be assigned to a designated plan checker. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the review process, your designated plan checker will be a point of contact.

After your plans are reviewed and approved, they will be available to view and download from your project's "Plans" folder in Box.  There must be a copy of the stamped approved plans (either paper or digital) at the job site at all times during construction.  Orange County Environmental Health does not provide approvals to other agencies, it is the plan submitter's responsibility to also provide approved sets of plans to City Building and Safety Departments or any other local authorities if required.  It is also the plan submitter's responsibility to upload revisions after any changes to approved plans.

After a project has received final construction approval, plans can be obtained by submitting a request to EH Records at 714-433-6015 or online.

For further questions or concerns about the EPS process, please reach out to our Plan Check team at 714-433-6074 or at plancheck@ochca.com
