Food and Pool

The Environmental Health - Food and Pool Safety (FPS) unit aims to prevent foodborne and waterborne illnesses primarily transmitted through contaminated food and ensures that all public pools are safe.

ABOUT US

FPS is responsible for inspections under California health and safety laws for a wide range of places, including but not limited to restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, convenience stores, school cafeterias, wholesale food businesses, mobile food vendors like trucks and carts, hotels, motels, and temporary food booths at community events. FPS also inspects public pools at apartments, hotels, motels, schools, parks, health gyms, and other public venues.
