About Refugee Health Services

The goal of the Refugee Health Services Program is to provide culturally and linguistically-appropriate comprehensive health assessments to newly arrived refugees, asylees, victims of trafficking, and other eligible entrants. The components of the health assessment include: screening and treating for communicable diseases; identifying chronic diseases and other important medical conditions; assessing immunization status for children and adults; providing mental health screening; and referring clients with significant medical and mental health conditions to health providers for further evaluation, treatment, and follow-up.
