Flu Shots

The flu or influenza is a serious disease. It’s more than just a runny nose and sore throat. The flu can make you very sick and cause you to go to the hospital or even lead to death. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone 6 months and older get the flu vaccine (flu shot). You can protect yourself and those around you by getting a flu shot.

Where can I get a Flu Shot? 

There are many ways to get your flu shot:

                                                                               

1. Ask your doctor
             
If you have health insurance, you can get a flu shot from your medical provider. It is usually free. Ask your doctor about it.
2. Find a clinic

3. Go to a pharmacy
             
Visit the HealthMap Vaccine Finder to find a pharmacy where you can get flu shots. Check with your health plan to see if it’s covered.
4. Visit our clinic
             
If you don’t have a doctor or health insurance, you can get a free flu shot from the Health Care Agency Flu Clinic (see below).

Health Care Agency Flu Clinic

The Public Health Services Family Health Clinics will be offering no cost flu shots Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 11:30 am and 1:00 pm to 4:00pm, starting September 23, 2024. An appointment is needed. Flu shots are subject to availability. To make an appointment, please call 1-800-914-4887. *Flu Mist is not available at this location. Visit vaccinefinder.org for a location offering Flu Mist.

Las Clínicas de Salud Familiar de los Servicios de Salud Pública ofrecerán vacunas contra la gripe sin costo de lunes a viernes, de 8:00 a. m. a 11:30 a. m. y de 1:00 p. m. a 4:00 p. m., a partir del 23 de septiembre de 2024.  Se necesita una cita. Las vacunas contra la gripe están sujetas a disponibilidad. Para programar una cita, llame al 1-800-914-4887. *Flu Mist (nebulizador nasal)  no está disponible en esta ubicación. Visite vaccinefinder.org para conocer un lugar que ofrezca Flu Mist (nebulizador nasal).

Trạm Y Tế Sức khỏe Gia Đình của Dịch Vụ Y Tế Công Cộng sẽ chích ngừa cúm  miễn phí từ Thứ Hai đến Thứ Sáu từ 8:00 sáng đến 11:30 sáng và từ 1:00 chiều đến 4:00 chiều, bắt đầu từ ngày 23 tháng 9 năm 2024.  Cần phải lấy hẹn trước. Chích ngừa cúm sẽ tùy thuộc vào việc có thuốc. Để lấy hẹn, xin vui lòng gọi 1-800-914-4887. *Địa điểm này không có vắc-xin cúm dạng xịt mũi. What do I need to know before my visit?

  • By appointment.
  • The flu shot is available for everyone 6 months or older. 
  • Wear a short sleeve shirt.
  • If you are sick or have a fever, please wait until you are better before getting a flu shot.
  • Print and complete the Flu Screening Questionnaire form and bring it with you to your appointment. Click here to access the questionnaire. For those without printer access, they will also be available at the clinic.
