Flu Shots

The flu or influenza is a serious disease. It’s more than just a runny nose and sore throat. The flu can make you very sick and cause you to go to the hospital or even lead to death. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone 6 months and older get the flu vaccine (flu shot). You can protect yourself and those around you by getting a flu shot.

Where can I get a Flu Shot?

There are many ways to get your flu shot:

1. Ask your doctor
If you have health insurance, you can get a flu shot from your medical provider. It is usually free. Ask your doctor about it.
2. Find a clinic

3. Go to a pharmacy

Visit the HealthMap Vaccine Finder to find a pharmacy where you can get flu shots. Check with your health plan to see if it’s covered.
