Senior Health Outreach & Prevention Program (SHOPP)

SHOPP Behavioral Health Clinicians provide field-based engagement services, crisis intervention, assessment, referral and linkage to resources for older adults ages 60 and above who are experiencing a functional impairment related to a mental health issue. SHOPP also provides psychoeducation to families, caregivers, and brief counseling to clients, families and caregivers. The program is a collaborative effort with Public Health SHOPP

Master Plan for Aging

The Master Plan for Aging includes a 10-year blueprint promoting healthy aging - including five bold goals:

  • Housing for All Stages & Ages -living where we choose as we age
  • Health Reimagines - improving access to health services 
  • Inclusion & Equity, Not Isolation - providing inclusive opportunities for older adults to live and work without isolation and fear of abuse and neglect 
  • Caregiving That Works - increase and bolster the caregiving workforce 
  • Affording Aging - and increasing economic security for aging Californians.
