Report an Issue 

Certain concerns can be relayed to our environmental health division for further investigation and action. Some of these include: 

  • Foodborne Illnesses or health and/or structural-related issues at a restaurant or food market

  • Hotels or rental housing units with unsafe or poorly maintained conditions (e.g., mold) 

  • Illegal dumping of medical waste

  • Lead exposure hazards (e.g., from lead-based paints)

  • Sewage spills

By Phone:  Call us at (714) 433-6000. Our staff will respond during office hours (8am to 5pm, Monday - Friday, excluding holidays). The number is only for non-emergency complaints. For emergencies, please contact 911 (police department, fire department, or hospital). 

All information reported is confidential and is not given to the owner/ property owner or any other third party. Anonymous reports are accepted. 

After Reporting: 

If the complaint reported falls under our jurisdiction, a complaint record identification number is generated and assigned to Environmental Health staff for follow-up.
