About Us
The Environmental Health Division routinely inspects hotels, motels, detention facilities, and organized/day camps to assure compliance with the requirements of the California Health and Safety Code.
Complaints
Rental housing such as detached dwellings and various types of attached or multi-user dwellings are inspected on a complaint basis only. The following are the types of complaints handled by this Agency in conjunction with City Code Enforcement:
- Vermin, such as cockroaches and rodents
- Sewage overflows
- Leaking Plumbing (not including fixtures)
Contact your City Code Enforcement directly for other types of housing complaints such as maintenance, ventilation use, and occupancy. For tenant/landlord disputes contact Orange County Fair Housing or obtain legal counsel.
